The origins of Grupo Esmeralda go back to the year 1998, when Raúl Alejandro Becerra Hernandez, mechanical engineer and CEO of Neptuno S.A., at the time dedicated to the manufacturing of machinery for the wine industry, plants the first 4 hectares of cherries in the sector of Esmeralda, Teno. After 11 years, he decides to build his own packing house in 2009, inheriting the name of his former company; Neptuno. Motivated by the possibility of extending his business to the second generation of his family, on 2011 he establishes Exportadora El Cisne, together with his Children Alejandro Javier and Camila Ximena.

Thus we arrive at the present day, when the productive units lead by Agricola Esmeralda amount to over 100 hectares, Packing Neptuno processes over Kg. 3.000.000 of cherries per year and gives its services to other species, in which are considered Plums, Kiwis, Table Grapes and Walnuts, among others, and Exportadora El Cisne ships over 230.000 boxes of cherries abroad.
